1. Use of Services

Our services, including expense tracking, bill splitting, and financial calculators, are provided for personal, non-commercial use. Finance Diary is a record-keeping tool — it does not facilitate actual money transfers. We do not take any responsibility for any financial loss you incur when people do not pay you back, nor are we responsible for the recovery of money. We only provide a tool to track your receivables and payables. You agree not to misuse the services or help anyone else do so.

2. Account & Data Storage Options

To use certain features, you must choose a data storage preference. You are responsible for safeguarding your device or account credentials:

• Local Storage (Personal Tracking): Your data lives only on your device. We provide no backup, sync, or recovery abilities. If you lose your device or delete the app, your data is permanently lost. This is strictly designed for ultimate privacy.
• Cloud Storage (Group Sync & Splits): Creating an account enables cloud synchronization, cross-device integration, and access to the shared Bill Splitting logic. Because these features require network processing, your data is securely transmitted and hosted on our encrypted cloud networks.

3. Data Privacy

Your privacy is extremely important to us. Our data practices are described in our Privacy Policy. By using Finance Diary, you agree to our collection and use of your data as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

4. Accuracy & Limitation of Liability

Finance Diary uses standard financial formulas for calculations (e.g., EMI, SIP). While our development team rigorously tests the platform across hundreds of permutations and financial scenarios to ensure accuracy, we cannot guarantee absolute perfection and provide the tools "as is."

We take bug reports seriously. If you encounter any issues, please report them through the Support section of the app. We are committed to promptly releasing software updates to address verified bugs; however, we do not accept liability or responsibility for any financial losses, decisions, or damages resulting from tooling inaccuracies, calculation errors, or general use of our application. All financial decisions remain the user's sole responsibility.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at our discretion, without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any other operational or security reason.

6. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically. We will notify users of any significant changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
